Ouch...

Well, we made it to Dawson Creek, BC. All those miles with no real problems. We are less than 100 miles away and POW, Big Mama gets a rock chip. An Alaska sized rock chip. Of course we had a small one, Bob had a small one and Rich had one on his car.

We called Glacier Mobile Glass and they were great. They even managed to fill most of the damage to Big Mama's windshield. I never mentioned it but Big Mama is the name given to Tom and Paula's 43 foot palace on wheels. And she is every bit a lady.

We spent the rest of the afternoon in downtown Dawson Creek. We took some photos of the Mile 0 marker, stopped traffic like any good tourist in a foreign country would do and then drove out to a section of the old Alaska Highway.

We wanted to see the Kiskatinaw Bridge, the only timber bridge left on the old Alaska Highway. And it's still in use. Driving over is fun, since the bridge curves 9 degrees from one end to the other.

Scary, but oh so beautiful.
